What is your inquiry question that interests you for further research? It should be a question that connects with
a purpose, passion or personalized area of interest for you. This is a question that you cannot just google an
answer for. Please see examples from your Capstone booklet.
My inquiry question is:

How to make a podcast relating to our skills and knowledge, thats interesting, entertaining, whilst still being
informative to the related topic being discussed.

Rationale/context: Detail your reasons for choosing this inquiry question. Explain WHY you are choosing to
investigate this topic as a major area of focus. How does this area of inquiry connect to your passion(s),
purpose? Why is it of personal interest to you?

I am choosing this as my investigation topic as I have always wanted to learn how to express my ideas
virtually whilst still being educating and informative. This connects to my passions as I enjoy having deep
conversations that are informative and attentitive. My job that I am most passionate for is becoming a
Psychatrist who must retain knowledge from deep conversations with their patients and your end goal is to
help them with talk therapy or medicine. It’s also a personal intrest of mine as I want to gain self esteem and
what better way is their to do that than speaking my mind out loud and recording.

Background: What background knowledge/connections/prior learning do you have in this area of inquiry?

I have watched many podcasts over times such as the FULL SEND Podcast, Impaulsive and the Dew
Zone.

Career connections: What is your intended career area at this point in time? What connections does this
inquiry question have to your life, academic and/ or career goals?

My intended career is to become a psychiatrist. This inquiry connection connects to my career as if I

become a psychiatrist I have to be willing to talk to my clients and converse in deep conversations relating

 to certain topics that either could be damage their pysche or helping repair it.

Interdisciplinary and core competencies connections: What subject areas and core competencies will
be connected with your project? Outline and explain the connections.

My capstone will connect to the core core comptencies in many differnet aspects. For example my
capstone will connect to the core comptency of creative thinking as to have my capstone be detailed as
poossible we will need to repeatedly create new ideas aswell as develop those ideas. It will also connect to
the critical thinking aspect as we are going to need to analyze and critque our research, videos, and our
audio; we are going to have to develop and design our podcast to be as informative but entertaining as
possible. It will connect to personal awareness and responsibility as I have to be self determined to
complete this project but not only complete the project but put effort into it that allows it to exceed
expectations. The capstone will also require me to connect into the communication core competancy as I
will have to connect and engange with my podcasting partner aswell as the people we bring on, it will also
require me to collaborate and plan to carry out our plans.

I wish to present my capstone on a youtube channel and have a few podcasts with video
footage and present the other podcasts on spotify that contain no video footage.

Description of my Capstone project. Specific Project Details of the Capstone Project: what will you
research, create, study, produce, solve, investigate? What product will be produced at the end of this
project for evaluation. Write a one-page description outlining your proposal.

For my capstone I will have to research on how to present my information and findings in a podcastly
matter. I will also need to research the basics of podcasting in general such as how to record ourselves at
the highest quality possible, how to edit and even how to present ourselves properly. We are planning to
create ten individual ten minute podcasts, that are either filmed of just audio recorded. We want to produce
a podcast that is meaningful but not only that but also entertaining and keep our audience intrigued. Our
plan is to come up with our broad topic of our podcasts and bringing in multiple people from our school to
talk for breif periods. The end goal is to have our podcast’s fully edited with some video recorded and

 some audio recorded aswell as a breif draft of all 10 of our podcasts so we don’t free ball it.

Resources/ Technology/Skills: Make an assessment of the resources, technology and skills you will
need to be able to complete this project. What is your plan to be able to access/learn all of the resources
necessary to achieve completion of this project? Detail your plans.

For my podcast to be succesful I will need to have many resources for research purposes. The
resources I would need to use to research would be, youtube for the basics of podcasting and how to edit,
jstor and other scholarly websites to help further educated us on the topic in which we are explaining. The
technology needed to make our project succesfull I will need, a high quality microphone to capture our
voice, aswell as we will need a camera for our podcasts we decide to film. We will also need a computer
with high ram to edit our videos and audio clips. The skills we will need are going to be to present
ourselves on camera and over audio, aswell as we are going to need the skill of teaching indirectly and
we will also need to be able to edit our videos which is a whole skill itself.

Mentors/Community Connections: What types of mentor(s)/community connections will you need to

help you complete your capstone project? How will your mentor(s) help you? What is your plan to access
the mentorship/community connections necessary for this project?

I will need community connections towards video editors, educators and youtube publishers. My mentors
will help in different sections of my project. For example a video editor I know will help me learn how to
edit my videos/audio to make them look better. My plan to access mentorship is to ask my friend John,
who is a video editor to help me edit my first couple videos. Aswell as I plan to ask one of my teachers
their educating techniques/skills to help me furthermore, make my capstone more educating and
interesting.

Project limitations: What are some project limitations and potential obstacles that you foresee that might
affect progress with your Capstone Project?

Some limitations I currently forsee are the inability to edit at a skilled enough level, poor camera
quality/microphone quality. Another limitation I see directly connects to the podcast itself as I am worried
we wont have enough researched information on our topic to be able to spand over 10 minutes.

Other considerations: List and detail any other related information/ considerations about your project
that you feel should be included in your project proposal.

 Other considerations about my capstone are, that I need to be able to create a youtube channel aswell to
properly create a place for the podcasts to be uploaded. Another consideration is that I will need to find a
common theme to have as my topic theme amongst all 10 podcasts.
