Hi there. We pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging, for they hold the memories, the
traditions, the culture and the hopes of our First Nations peoples. In previous years students have
had the chance to host and visit students from California, Singapore, Bhutan and Sweden. I think a
homework club would help the students motivate their parents. It is done in different working
contexts so different aspects of students' skills and understanding is revealed. I like your idea and
Tara's with the club, this might work as students love to eat in the room with the teacher. A motivator
like your pack will bring excitement to homework. By reviewing and reflecting upon the term and
then demonstrating their understanding to their parents, students feel a sense of achievement. This is
an opportunity to interact with people they might not normally encounter and hear different

allow for boundaries to be blurred between disciplines and domains. Right now, we have the same
quirky, crazy and amazingly awesome team of staff and volunteers working from home with your
kids. It worked with most, but we required their parents sign off on their homework nightly in their
planners- that didn't work for some. If you are on the fence about joining the Human Race, go for it.
Homework is always an issue and anything we can do to help. The students organize and lead these
sessions themselves every week and engage in weekly reflections to ensure they are doing right by
the people they are working for. Students exercise choice and voice where they choose, interview for
and are selected for specific committees. When their children's learning and progress becomes
visible and accessible (through sample work), parents gain a more qualitative understanding of the

be becoming what they, and we, need: good, effective, world-improving people in an automation and

your school offers, but if you’re going to RCC you’ll definitely want to take advantage. Like profs,
they also offer weekly office hours ranging from 2-4 hours a week, but like I said they aren’t as

for. I have been doing Homeworkopoly but the management of that can become cumbersome.
Requests for information in another format can be made by email to the webmaster. In most cases,

key stage groups and are given a challenge to design a learning experience for their peers based on a
series of prompts their team will receive. The boundaries between real life and school life start
blurring as students share their experiences from outside school in the classroom. In addition, they
can evaluate their progress and identify areas of strength and areas that need improvement. I was
amazed that just taking a picture of everyone who was a Homework Hero was an incentive in itself.
I've been seeing so many homework clubs lately and I can't wait to jump on the bandwagon for next
year's class. Our WBYO philosophy is that any kid is unstoppable once they want something badly

too. They can consciously strategize their encounters to maximize their learning. Once a student
experiences academic success, what ultimately happens is a uniquely awesome shift from working
hard for the perks and prizes, to working hard because they believe in themselves, their capabilities,
and are driven by that amazing feeling we get when we are confident in ourselves and our abilities.
