In 2011, I went to a soccer stadium for the first time in my life.

I was 12 and my father

took me there. We took a bus, which was full. It was a long way from our house, at

Campo da Pólvora, until Pituaçu Stadium. At that time, the metro didn’t exist yet and

we didn’t have a car, so the bus was our only option. The match was Bahia against São

Paulo. It was a very special day for me. I remember how thrilling the game was

because Bahia turned the game around and won 4-3 and when Bahia scored the fourth

goal, an old man, who we met there at the stadium and who was watching the game

with us and his daughter, turned around to cheer with me and accidentally hit me in the

eye with his finger while trying to give me a hug. It hurt - obviously!! - but I didn’t care

much at the moment because I was very excited at the moment!
