On site as requested to carry out concrete testing for the pile cap foundations SPC35, MPC3, SPC39, and SPC42 in Area C at the above noted site. Two (2) cylinders were
casted for each of the first three loads (used in SPC42, SPC39, SPC35) and scheduled to be field cured and tested for compressive strength on day 5. For Load 4 (used in
MPC3), Eleven (11) cylinders were casted of which two (2) are scheduled to be field cured and tested for compressive strength on day 5, and nine (9) cylinders are stored in
a curing box with a max/min thermometer on site for the duration of the initial curing period and scheduled for testing at 1 – 7 days, 2 – 28 days, 2 – 56 days, 2 – AVS (1 for
testing, 1 for hold), and 2 -RCP (1 for testing, 1 for hold). It should also be noted that the volumes of concrete used per element are merely estimates that were made in the
field, and the exact split of concrete may differ in reality. All test results met project specifications which the client and contractor were informed of.
