JAZNAH GRACE B.

ABELLA
BS ARCHITECTURE
1ST YEAR
BLOCK D

Who am I?

My name is Jaznah Grace B. Abella, 18 years old and was born on the
tenth of February 2005. Born and raised in Mandaon, Masbate as the eldest
of my siblings. I would describe myself as warm and friendly friend but can
sometimes be timid and stubborn depending on the situation. But despite my
shortcomings, I will always love myself both body and personality because I
know my worth and the dreams that I have yet to achieve. I love myself the
way my parents love me.

The part of me that I love is my caring personality. I developed this

personality solely because I am the eldest and have the responsibility of
helping my parents protect and nourish my siblings. That is why I am called
the mother figure in a group of friends which I am always proud of. One thing
I am grateful in life is to have a such caring and supportive family and
friends. They are the reason why I am here now at BU University. I am also
grateful for God with his guidance and mercy that gave strength to pass
every hardship I encountered and will be encountering in the future.

The biggest and most important thing I have learned in life so far is to
have confidence and believe in yourself because at the end the day, the only
one that can truly help you is yourself. Now that I am away from my family
and hometown, I teach myself how to be independent to prepare for the
upcoming future. One of the quotes that inspire me is, “In school, you’re
taught a lesson and then given a test. In life you’re given a test that teaches
you a lesson.” This quote was stated by American writer, Tom Boddett who
has given me the realization to always appreciate life for its challenges and
despite it being difficult, I always tell myself to take the risk rather than let
the opportunity pass.
