Summary of the Thriving Mindsets: Nurturing Mental Well- being across
Activity Professions, an interactive workshop, held by the Centre of
Education beyond Curriculum, featured Dr. Puja Grover
Kapur, Director and Co- Founder of Centre of Neurotherapy
in Uniquely Abled Kids (CONTINUA KIDS), who emphasized
the significant role of training for special needs children and
their parents. The workshop was followed by organization of
the EDUFABLES Bookfair which consisted of food stalls and
fun- filled games stalls where students participated and
engaged actively.

Thriving Mindsets: Nurturing Mental Well- being across Professions, an interactive
workshop, held by the Centre of Education beyond Curriculum, featured Dr. Puja Grover
Kapur, Director and Co- Founder of Centre of Neurotherapy in Uniquely Abled Kids
(CONTINUA KIDS), who emphasized the significant role of training for special needs
children and their parents. The objective was to demonstrate the multiple facets of
training involved with caregivers of special needs children, where they are not given just
technical instructions but are supported emotionally and mentally in their journey. The
workshop drew on her professional experiences where students gained insight into
training methods and strategies. The workshop was followed by organization of the
EDUFABLES Bookfair which consisted of food stalls and fun- filled games stalls where
students participated and engaged actively.

2. Speaker Profile

Dr. Puja is a consultant pediatric neurologist, having worked in Paras Hospital, Gurgaon
and Sarvodaya Hospital, Faridabad. She is the Director and Co Founder , CONTINUA
KIDS (Centre of Neurotherapy in Uniquely Abled Kids), with 20 branches all over North
India, with over 20,000 enrolled special needs children.

Dr. Puja is a reviewer of Medical Journal “ Indian Pediatrics” and advisor to Special
Olympic Bharat. She has 8 publications in national and international journals.

The workshop was rated excellently and proved to be effective. The major takeaways
from the workshop included:

 Emphasis on importance of self- care practices, including breaks, adequate sleep,


and a healthy lifestyle.
 Promotion of mindfulness techniques and stress management strategies to cope
with professional pressures.
 Fostering a culture of open communication about mental health challenges and
encouraging support networks within professional communities.
