MRI LUMBO-SACRAL SPINE
CLINICAL INFO: Backache, pain radiating to bilateral legs.
Conventional radiographs are not available at the time of interpretation and may be correlated if indicated
clinically.
Straightening of lumbosacral spine due to muscular spasm. Bony spine is intact with no evidence of
fracture, listhesis or marrow abnormality.
At L1-2 level, disc margin is preserved. No frank disc herniation, significant neural foraminal stenosis is seen.
Spinal canal is ample at this level.
At L2-3 level, disc margin is preserved. No frank disc herniation, significant neural foraminal stenosis is seen.
Spinal canal is ample at this level.
At L3-4 level, disc margin is preserved. No frank disc herniation, significant neural foraminal stenosis is seen.
Spinal canal is ample at this level.
At L4-5 level, annular tear with central disc bulge causing thecal sac indentation. No significant neural
foraminal stenosis is seen.Spinal canal is ample at this level.
At L5-S1 level, disc margin is preserved. No frank disc herniation, significant neural foraminal stenosis is seen.
Spinal canal is ample at this level.
No evidence of intra or extra dural abnormal MR signal is noted and conus medullaris, cauda equina & nerve
roots have normal MR signal. No pre or para vertebral soft tissue mass.
