1. What is Mountaineering? Explain the history of Mountaineering?
Mountaineering is a physical activity where participants try to reach the summit of a mountain-
a large land form that rises more than 500 meters above the surrounding plains-to experience
the pleasure of a climb. Technically, it refers to the sport of mountain climbing, which includes
rock climbing and ski mountaineering. Mountaineering is also called alpinism, which refers to
climbing the mountains in the Alps in Europe
2. What is the goal of a mountaineer?
The goal of a mountaineer is to reach the top of the mountain and to witness the beauty of the
natural environment because Mountaineering is the sport of attaining, or attempting to attain
high points of mountains, mainly for the pleasure of the climb. The sport of mountaineering
differs from other outdoor sports in that nature alone provides the field of action for the
participant

1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of mountaineering?
The advantages of mountaineering , it will improve both our physical fitness and cardiovascular
fitness level as well as reducing body fats through aerobic exercise.
The disadvantages of mountaineering, it is a dangerous physical activity. Exploring the
wilderness of the mountains pose hazards that can cause injuries or serious consequences such
as death.
2. What are the physical benefits of mountaineering?
Mountaineering will reduce the risk factors for various diseases. Aside from improving cardio
vascular endurance, MVPAs also develop musculoskeletal strength; boost the metabolic,
endocrine, and immune systems; and help in reducing or marinating body weight.
3. Why many tourists choose mountaineering as an activity?
_ Many tourists choose mountaineering as an activity because it offers an exceptional
experience no other tourist destinations can offer. Aside from beautiful sceneries, mountains
also offer clean air and varied topographic experience to climbers. The unique climate in some
mountains also attracts tourists.

1. Why is backpack an ideal bag for mountaineering?
A backpack is an ideal bag for any climb because it frees your hands from holding anything.
Having your hands available at all times is crucial since you will need your free hand all the time
to secure support from tree branches or rocks as you hike along the trails. Moreover, using a
backpack affords you freedom of movement.
