The activities enumerated above are important in achieving and maintaining fitness as a technology
student for they are making me physically active. These activities help me in maintaining and improving my
body to become physically fit. they help in making my bone stronger as well as in improving the strength,
power, and endurance of my muscles. Engaging in these activities also reduce the risk of possible injuries and
other chronic illnesses.

Explain briefly how they can ensure fitness in your body.


 Jogging helps to build strong bones, strengthen muscles, improve cardiovascular fitness and helps in
maintaining a healthy weight.
 Swimming helps to maintain a healthy weight, a healthy heart, and lungs. It provides an all-over body
workout, as nearly all my muscles are used during swimming.
 Climbing strengthens hand and forearms, biceps, shoulders, neck, traps, upper back, lats, lower back, abs,
glutes, thighs and calves.
 Sleeping helps in restoring energy of the body after performing the activities. It lets the body to rest and
recuperate.

Choose three benefits of exercises and explain them comprehensively in your OWN WORDS.

Benefit: Improves and strengthens the cardiorespiratory system

Exercise strengthens the heart and improves blood circulation. Due to this, there is an increase in the blood flow
which also increases the amount of oxygen in the body.

Benefit: Lowers the risk of chronic disease and illnesses

As exercise strengthens the heart and improves blood circulation, it could lower the risk of heart diseases as well as
to lower the blood pressure of the body.

Benefit: Enhances quality of life: people feel better and live a healthier and a happier life

During exercise, it is normal to sweat a lot and this process removes the toxins inside the body and releases
chemicals that can improve the mood and make the body feel more relaxed. Exercise also help us deal with stress
and depression.

Physical activities are activities which require the body to move with little effort such as doing
household chores, self-care and others. Exercises are series of planned and structured activities
which aims to improve the components of physical fitness such as lifting weights.
Explain the importance of exercise to your daily tasks as a BSIT/BAT student.
As a BSIT student, exercise is important in my daily task because the activities make me feel better – with
more energy, a better mood in accomplishing my tasks, feel more relaxed and even make me sleep better
especially that there are lots of things to do. It also makes my bones, muscles and joints stronger.

Do you incorporate physical activity into your daily lifestyle? If no, why? If yes, how?
Yes, I incorporate physical activities into my daily lifestyle. I always set my time for a specific activity like doing
household chores in the morning before my class starts.

Do you get adequate physical activity to maintain good health? Explain your answer.
Yes, I get adequate physical activity to maintain good health. This is for the reason that I manage my time wisely and
set time for my activities.

In your own way, how can you achieve mental or intellectual wellness through exercise? Explain comprehensively.
I can achieve mental or intellectual wellness through exercise by playing games, debating with my friends, and
solving word or sudoku puzzles. Playing games or solving puzzles improves my mind. Debating with my friends help
me expand my mind and to grasp new information.
