NOTICE: PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (“Air Selangor”) respects the privacy of individuals and
acknowledges the rights attached to personal data collected. This Notice is to accord with the
provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (the “Act”).

1. For this recruitment exercise, Air Selangor will collect personal data (including sensitive
personal data) directly from you. However, there are circumstances where data about you
may be obtained from third parties i.e. your family members, your referee(s), guarantor(s)
or any other relevant person(s). Data may also be generated or combined with other
information available to Air Selangor.

2. The personal data in relation to you may include information on your name, address,
contact details, resume, details of birth, education background, employment history,
referees and results of employment checks (including background and credit checks and/or
enhanced checks), your copies and other details of identity documents, marital status,
racial or ethnic origin, religion, citizenship, physical or mental health or medical
condition, commission or alleged commission of any offence or proceedings for any offence
committed or alleged to have been committed including past misconduct, the disposal of
such proceedings or the sentence of any court in such proceedings). We may also
require you to provide us with your emergency contact details and any other information
necessary to Air Selangor’s business purposes.

3. Failure and/or refusal to provide the required personal data may result in Air Selangor
being unable to perform the recruitment exercise.

4. The purposes for which your data may be used are as follows: -

(1) determine your suitability for employment with Air Selangor;

(2) purposes of Air Selangor’ records;
(3) complying with any applicable laws, guidelines or regulations by the government
or any self-regulatory or industry bodies;
(4) abiding Air Selangor’ internal policies and procedures; and
(5) such other purposes as are reasonably required by Air Selangor.

5. Your personal data may be disclosed as permitted by law. Further, your personal data may
be disclosed or transferred to another party in the event of a change in ownership of, or a
grant of a security interest in, all or a part of Air Selangor which will be consistent
with the Notice, unless you consent otherwise.

6. Under and in accordance with the terms of the Act, you have the right to: -

(1) inspect any of your personal data and request for a copy of a record of such
personal data;
(2) rectify any of your personal data which is inaccurate and object, on
compelling grounds relating to your situation, to the processing of your data
and to erasure where duly justified; and
(3) request a restriction or limitation on your personal data.

7. Any individual that requests for access to data or correction of data or for information
regarding policies and practices and kinds of data held must make the request in writing in
the prescribed form. Air Selangor will proceed to evaluate each request and communicate
to you whether the request can be honoured. Air Selangor may also charge a reasonable
fee pursuant to your request.

8. Except as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law or regulatory requirements,

your personal data will only be retained as long as deemed necessary. Your personal data
may still be retained should you not be offered for employment for purposes of suitable
vacancies that may be available in the future. In addition, your personal data may be made
anonymous.

9. If at any time you provide personal data of someone other than yourself, you hereby
undertake that you have that person’s consent to provide such data for the foregoing
purposes and for its disclosure whereby that person has been given this Notice and will
be given, if any, the revised version of this Notice in the future when it becomes available.

10. Should any of our privacy practices and/or policies change, we reserve the right to revise
the terms of this Notice. The revised Notice would apply to all the personal data collected.
If we make any changes to our privacy practices, the revised Notice will be made available
in the manner Air Selangor views acceptable.

11. If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, or if you disagree with a
decision we made about a request, you may file a written complaint with us or the
Personal Data Protection Commission.

12. You may exercise any of your rights described in this Notice, or ask questions about these
