Lesson 6 : Writing (Time: 01 period)

I. THE AIMS OF THE LESSON.


1. Knowledge:
By the end of the lesson, students are expected to achieve the following
objectives:
* Vocabulary:
- Students will know, understand and use vocabulary and language related topic

2. Ability:
a. General ability:
- Improve pair work, group work, interpersonal skills, creativeness and
adaptability.

- Improve writing skills in general.
- Build up vocabulary supported for writing
- Practice writing skill to write an application letter for volunteer work
3. Quality:
- Develop a sense of helping the community and awareness of voluntary work
- Develop self-study skills

II. TEACHING EQUIPMENT AND LEARNING MATERIALS:


- Teacher prepares cards, posters, teaching aids such as: personal computer,
speaker; powerpoint presentation

III. PROCEDURES:
1. Activity 1: Warm up (6’)
a. Objective:
- To create a friendly and lively atmosphere in the classroom
- To lead into the new unit

- Students work in 2 groups to play a game called “HANGMAN”.
c. Products:
