Based on the discussion, how would you describe the youth? List down your
answers.

1.Determined
2. Full of New Ideas
3. Creative
4. Resourceful
5. Open

Enumerate three factors that would motivate you to be an active member of the
community. Write also three things that would discourage you to participate in
community activities.

Factors that would motivate me:

1. The reward of doing good.

2. The happy faces of people.
3. The mark I would leave in the lives of others.

Factors that would discourage me:

1. The fact that some of these activities would deplete the family budget.
2. The deprivation of a reward.
3. My family’s lack of involvement.

Research on three youth involvement activities and briefly explain them.

1. Youth Council- are a form of youth voice engaged in community decision-making. Youth
councils are appointed bodies that exist on local, state, provincial, regional, national, and
international levels among governments, non governmental organisations (NGOs), schools,
and other entities. Groups that include children (typically starting at age 5) often call
themselves children's parliaments and are paired with youth parliaments of older kids.

2. Youth Politics- is a category of issues which distinctly involve, affect or otherwise impact
youth. It encompasses youth policy that specifically has an impact on young people (for
example, education, housing, employment, leisure) and how young people engage in politics
including in institutional politics (elections, membership of a political party), youth
organisations and lifestyle.
3. Youth-led media- is any effort created, planned, implemented, and reflected upon by young
people in the form of media, including websites, newspapers, television shows and
publications.
