We, the researchers, are currently conducting a study entitled “The Effects of Socio-
economic Status of Students in the Efficiency in Solving Mathematics Problems” in partial
fulfillment of the requirements in Inquiries, Investigations, and Immersion (3I’s).

This study is a quantitative research and requires data such as financial status and the type
of houses of students. This study requires an analysis in Mathematics Grades-8 section: Ruby,
Beryl and Peridot. The data will be treated using Frequency and Mean and Person Product
Moment Correlation. Financial status and Type of houses checklist survey as one of the
questionnaires.

In line with this, we would like to ask for your approval in gathering the data needed in
this study. Specifically, we would like to request from your good office that we would be allowed
to gather the socio-economic status of our respondents.

Rest assured that the identity of the respondents and the data will be treated with utmost
confidentiality.
