DEBRIEFING
Thank you for participating in our experiment, your contribution is invaluable to our research.
Before we conclude, we’d like to provide you with some information regarding the experiment’s
purpose, procedures and any potential implications.

Purpose of our Experiment

 is to reduce the horn and halo effect with the help of giving them information
availability.

Procedure of our Experiment

 The auditionees will have a 30-45 second videoclip introductory part which consists of
their background information - purposely showing their superficial traits for them to be
qualified as an emcee but their performance and the VTR are scripted. Then the judges
will rate them right after based on the low information availability condition which is the
(videoclip). I as the facilitator will proceed to give the high availability condition which is
the (detailed information about the auditionee) extending the context for the judges to
see the bigger picture of the auditionees).
 Since the performance was scripted, we as facilitators trained them to execute properly
their performance in the experiment time.

We will assure you that the data and results will be handled confidentially and used only for
research purposes.
(Ask the judges to provide feedback or if they have any questions about the experiment)
Again, we would like to express our gratitude to our auditionees for spending your time with us
in the throughout the practice until now the day of our experiment, to properly executed the halo
and horn effect. And to our subjects, which are the judges, to our Dramatistas’ for making time
and effort even though you have tight schedule. To our validators, Ma’am Gecil Jane, Sir Jonas,
and also to Ma’am Leni who introduced who the Dramatistas’ are, and gave us the rubrics which
is really important (necessary) in our experiment. And lastly, to our beloved Sir MJ, thank you
for your guidance and support throughout the journey of our experiment. Again, you are all
