After reading the article about case of Solis, he violated several times of stealing photos or using
the photograph of other people without permission and used it to different photo contest. Also,
Solis use other techniques in joining in every contest to won and claiming all the photos he
presented to the contest. Solis’s attitude in claiming other’s photos and using other photograph
is unacceptable to emulate other people in joining such a contest like what as I read in the case
because it is against the law of an individual who personally take all the photos. The law that
Solis did not follow is the Republic Act No. 8293 or also known as the Intellectual Property Code
of the Philippines. This law is about the copyright protection of an individual works even they
made. Solis violate this law and he should pay his consequences as what he violated because he
received a lot of prizes from any contest without telling the truth about his condition and the
things that he did. He receive huge amount of prizes but actually Solis’s entry doesn’t belong to
him and he just stole it from others property and he don’t deserve this kind of prizes and
acknowledgement.

2. The issue to this situation is that Khana Khazana or ZKK a popular show that talks about Foods
was issued of using photos from blog sites without authorization from the bloggers. Bloggers
complains to the show and told them to give credits by using their photography for their show,
the show apologized to them but saying that they just used those photos for their project
recipes and also saying that they didn’t stole those photos, they just used it for the visual
appearance for their fans. If I am a blogger and if I will be in that situation the emotion or feeling
that I show to them is disappointed because they didn’t acknowledge and respect my works
even my taking photos to use them to their show. Instead, I am the one who discovered that
they stole my photos. In that way, it makes me feel disrespect to my courtesy and properties.
For me, the copyright law will protect my works from other people trying to steal and copy my
works without permission and authorization because it protects my properties as blogger to
have originality and own creation to my blogs. In this case, the show will probably have tentative
restriction or worst be ban from any on air website because of spreading or giving false
information about the photos they presented as what to the copyright law indicated.
