HiFab= Fabrication and Installation

1) Products; Facades, Aluminium window, UPVC window

2) Types of glasses:
 Non-toughened glass (Limitation= Sharp edge when taken)
 Toughened glass (Soft edges when broken as heated while manufactured)
 Double Glazed Unit (As argon gas in between)
 Laminated Glass (As a film in which glass sticks on when broken)
a) PVC- Rolls like carpet when broken (Needs to be held from all 4 sides)
b) Sentry-Simply sticks onto the glass without falling, therefore used in ceiling glass
where it shouldn’t fall off.
 Combination of DGU and laminated glass
3) Chain of procedure-
Material stacking area- Powder Coating Unit (Chromatised)- Unified and Glossing- Cutting
Machine- Notching & Milling Process (Drilling)- Assembling- GI Tray- Structural Silicone-
Dried- Water Proofing-Packaging
4) Window-

Part 1: Make a jam (Needs to be of stone base)

Part 2: Frame in which track system installed; SS track system in bearing run

Part 3: Leg profile that protects the shutter, and levels the surface for easy mobility of users.
Outside no profile as flow of rainwater

Part 4: In between Aluminium and Glass a casket is present that prevents breaking of glass as the
aluminium applied pressure. This also makes it airtight

Part 5: Interlocking to make it air and water tight

Part 6: Wool pipe that prevents scratches while the glass slides and also makes it airtight

Step 1: Mill finish is stacked according to sizes

Step 2: Profile list is made with dimensions
Step 3: Powder coating
Step 4: Material cut to specific dimensions
Step 5: Slotting of screw/handles/locks

- Slotting in detail: Drilling - Punching of holes simply using pressure

Joining- In the holes a mechanical clip is fit, also an L-shaped pin is fit in the other hole
that align the two parts of window. Through one of these holes the mechanical clip is
tightened.

Why aluminium used instead of wood?

- Non corrosive, termite resistant

- Doesn’t expand in water
- Provides better airtightness
Why aluminium instead of other metals?

- Material can be cut to specific dimensions easily

- Easy to cast
