NOTE TO THE REVISED ESTIMATE COMMITTEE

Name of Work : RWSS to Eraviperror .

The Chief Engineer , Southern Region, KWA, Thiruvananthapuram, vide Lr.

No. KWA/CE(SR)/PHPTA/2957(A)/18, dated 31.10.2022 has submitted the
comparative statement and payment details for further necessary action. Also
reported that Revised AS for the work had been sanctioned vide order no.
KWA/HO/PHI/5115/92 dated 25.03.1992 of the MD for Rs.217.50 lakhs after
finalizing the RE.

Following points may be noted:

The documents submitted by CE are not authenticated by SE or CE. The

photocopy of comparative statement prepared by EE is just forwarded to this
office. The document submitted is not clear at some pages.
Following are noted from the submitted comparative statement.
Following are the main component:

App A. Construction of Infiltration well-9m dia including 6m dia radial well,

providing inter connection to radial well, construction of retaining wall and
reconstruction of damaged gallery.

App. B. Construction of double room pump hose.

App. C. Pump sets (comparative statement not seen)

App. D. GL reservoir of 5.5LL for Zone-1 with Compound and retaining wall, GL
reservoir of 2.0 LL for Zone-2 with Compound and retaining wall, GL reservoir
of 0.60 LL for Zone-3 with Compound and retaining wall

App. E. Pumping Main

App. F. Distribution system for zone I, II & III.

App. G. Collecting sump cum pump house.

Original Estimate Cost -Rs. 10,97,323/-

Revised Estimate(already executed) -Rs. 146, 58,600/- (including material cost
Rs. 5,57,930/-
Cost with out material -Rs. 141,00,670/-
24% Tender Excess -Rs. 33,84,160/-
Cost of materials -Rs. 5,57,930/-
Cost of pipe and specials -Rs. 50,92,000/-
Total -Rs. 231,34760/-

Noted as Upto date expenditure of the scheme - Rs. 141.70 lakhs (including cost
of materials)
Upto date expenditure excluding cost of materials- Rs. 90.78 lakhs.

As per the submitted payment details total payment from CC Ist and part to
CC VIth and part is Rs. 71,19,162/-

Details of sanctioning of extra/excess items by competent authority is not

submitted.

The scheme was commissioned on 21.02.1992.

The RE Committee met on 03-11-2022 and the SE, Pathanamthitta has been
contacted during the discussion and it was decided to collect the legible and
authenticated copy of comparative statement, documents related to sanctioning of
excess/extra items at the earliest and to place the RE in the next RE Committee
proposed on 10.11.2022.

Above details were not received until 10.11.2022 and the RE committee met on
10.11.2022 and directed the SE Pathanamthitta to submit the above details on or
before 15.11.2022 and also directed to submit visible measurement of items
executed after physical verification conducted by the Executive Engineer.

Till the date no reply is received from the CE (CR) and field offices.

Details are placed before the RE Committee for decision.
