A ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON “AN INSIGHT INTO THE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TO KCEIANS BY KCEIANS” (12.08.2022)

REPORT

A One Day Workshop on “An Insight into the Career Opportunities in Mechanical
Engineering to KCEians by KCEians” was organized by Department of Mechanical
Engineering on 12th August 2022. Totally 66 students were participated from our college.

The Inaugural function started with a welcome address given by Dr.C.Krishnaraj, Professor
and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering.

In the First Session, Dr. V. Boopathi Sabareeh, Proprietor, Sekkarvel Academy, Pollachi,
delivered his speech on “Applications of Thermodynamics”, its significance, applications
with respect to daily life situations.

In the Second Session, Mr. G. Prasath, Senior Engineer, Design and Development, Aquasub
Engineering, Coimbatore, shared his ideas on the topic “Fluid Mechanics and its Industrial
Applications”. He discussed about the concepts involved in fluid sciences and industrial
machineries. Also shared his insights about major water resources in the world and its
differences.

In the Third Session, Dr. Johnson Santhosh, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical
Engineering, Jimma University, Ethiopia, presented his speech on the topic “Manufacturing
Processes – An Overview”. Started the session with basic processes involved in
manufacturing till new innovative technologies implemented across globe.

Vote of thanks was given by Mr. S. Chitharthan, Assistant Professor, Department of

Mechanical Engineering. The session was highly informative and interactive for the
participants.
