Whoever killed a person having a treaty with the Muslims, shall


not smell the smell of Paradise though its smell is perceived from a
distance of forty years.

CHARTER OF MADINAH

 Bernard Lewis claims


“the charter was not a treaty in the modern sense but a unilateral
proclamation by Muhammad. One of the constitution's more
interesting aspects was the inclusion of the Jewish tribes in the
ummah because although the Jewish tribes were "one community
with the believers", they also "have their religion and the Muslims

‫‪Who ever killed a soul, except for a soul slain, or for sedition in the earth, it‬‬

O ye who believe! stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair dealing,
and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and
depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety:

Do not say crude words to those who call upon other than Allah, lest they
use crude words about Allah in revenge without knowledge.

‫‪We have honored the children of Adam and carried them on both land and‬‬
‫‪sea. We have provided them with good things and greatly preferred them‬‬

‫‪O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: It may be‬‬
‫‪that the (latter) are better than the (former): Nor let some women laugh at‬‬
‫‪others: It may be that the (latter are better than the (former): Nor defame‬‬
‫‪nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames‬‬

‫‪some cases is a sin: And spy not on each other behind their backs. Would‬‬
‫‪any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Nay, ye would abhor it.‬‬

According to Maulana Safi-ur-Rehman;

It was delivered in 632 A.D. /10 A.H. at the last Hajj of the
holy Prophet (PBUH). The last sermon of Prophet Mohammad
(PBUH) teaches the importance of equality and fair treatment, and

‫‪(The structure of) Islam is built on five (pillars): Testification of 'La ilaha‬‬
‫‪illallah' (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), that Muhammad‬‬
(‫ )ﷺ‬is his slave and Messenger, the establishment of Salat, the payment of
Zakat, the pilgrimage to the House of Allah (Ka'bah), and Saum during the
month of Ramadan."

‫ر ِعي ِتهِ‪.‬‬

‫‪his flock. A man is the shepherd of the people of his house and he is‬‬
‫‪responsible. A woman is the shepherd of the house of her husband and she‬‬
‫‪is responsible. Each of you is a shepherd and each is responsible for his flock‬‬

‫"من رأى منكم منكرا فليغريه بيده ‪ ،‬فإن مل يستطع فبلسانه‪ ،‬فإن مل يستطع فبقلبه‬

Whoever amongst you sees an evil, he must change it with his hand; if he is
unable to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is unable to do so, then
with his heart; and that is the weakest form of Faith"
