PURPOSE:

The purpose of the policy defines the responsibility of staff to ensure correct, safe handling and shifting the
soiled/fresh linen.

SCOPE:
To provide a safe operation of shifting Fresh/ soiled linen in respective areas. To enhance the safety standard
as a continuous effort.

RESPONSIBILITY:
Respective person and User Department (Housekeeping and Laundry).

PROCEDURE:

All the linen which is getting transport to or from laundry needs to be properly stacked in trolley before
transport.

Transporting trolley needs to be checked thoroughly for proper wheel movement before stacking the linen.

Use trolley which are only dedicated for linen transportation

Carry only required quantity of linen and never overloads the trolley.

Trolley should not be overloaded to block you vision.

Always push the trolley which allows you to see any obstruction in front.

Check and ensure that no linen is getting dragged while moving the trolley.

Never transport Fresh and Soiled linen in same trolley.
