7:30 – 8: 25  Read an alphabet story letter

 Recognize letters and letter- sound
(LITERACY)
matches.
 Identify the beginning sound of a
word/picture
 Read the word based on the picture

8:25- 9:15  Read the story three little pigs

 Read numerals and numbers in words
(NUMERACY)
from 0 -20.
 Flash each card in numerical order for
the children to say the number. Then
flash the cards from 20 back to 0
(numerals/numbers in words).

9:15- 9:30 RECESS TIME

9:30-10:30  Sing songs/chants related to the story to

be used in the actual reading
 Tell a story using wordless pictures
 Sequence story events using pictures
 Identify characters , setting, and events
of a story
 Answering questions from the story
 Draw the favorite part of the story
