rings, and headpieces made from gold are made.

• Jewelry traditionally expressed status and wealth.

• Modern accessories tend to lean more on the aesthetic aspect.


Painting
• Watercolor and Oil Paintings
-became more popular and the subjects of paintings began
to include landscapes, life, fashion, and the wealthy.

jewelry and even native furniture.

Sculpture

• traditionally refers to the carving of anitos and other ancient


objects and ornaments.

religious objects.

Weaving

• produces traditional fabric with intricate designs, clothing, hats,


baskets, and other woven objects.

• typically uses materials from the wild including leaves, plants,


reeds, etc., unlike its Western counterpart that mainly uses
wool, fur, or fleece.
Pottery

• ancient Filipinos made burial jars and other types of pottery with
various uses.

• modern pottery often have both aesthetic and practical


qualities.
