Solve the following:

1. The cost of one shirt is ₹ 270 and that of one trouser is ₹ 510. Find the total cost of 5
shirts and 2 trousers.
Cost of one shirt = ₹ 270; 1 3 5 0
So, cost of 5 shirts = ₹ 270 x 5 = ₹ 1,350 + 1 0 2 0
Cost of one trouser = ₹ 510; 2 3 7 0
So, cost of 2 trousers = ₹ 510 x 2 = ₹ 1,020
Total cost of 5 shirts and 2 trousers = ₹ 1,350 + ₹ 1,020
= ₹ 2,370
Answer: Total cost of 5 shirts and 2 trousers = ₹ 2,370
2. The cost of one bag is ₹ 234.50. Find the cost of 9 such bags. ③ ④ ④
Cost of one bag = ₹ 234.50 2 3 4 . 5 0
Cost of 9 bags = ₹ 234.50 x 9 = ₹ 2,110.50 x 9

Cost of 7 shirts = ₹ 1,678.25 7 1678.25
Cost of 1 shirt = ₹ 1,678.25 ÷ 7 - 14
