4.1 Udział Obywateli W Życiu Publicznym
Public life - the relationship that takes place between the individual and all state and local
government structures. It involves all citizens, both individually and through participation in
various types of organisations.
a. Electoral right - the right to vote is one of the rights of the citizen, resulting from the
sovereignty guaranteed by the Constitution.
- Active electoral right - the right to take part in voting (elections, referendums); entitled at
the age of 18.
- Passive electoral right - the right to stand for and be elected to a representative body; vests
upon reaching the age of: 18 years of age when standing for election as a councillor, 25 years
of age when standing for election as a mayor or alderman, 21 years of age when standing for
election as an MP, 30 years of age when standing for election as a senator, 35 years of age
when standing for election as President of the Republic of Poland.
