The business idea we selected: health Journey - A mobile application that offers
personalised record / advice to individuals to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Justification for choosing above business idea.

 The mobile app Health Journey offers personalized guidance to promote healthy
living. As the demand for health-related products and services continues to
increase, starting a business with this app is practical due to its individualized
support and potential for innovation. Users can receive customized health advice
and support at any time, which can serve as a strong motivator for those striving
for a healthier lifestyle. The health and wellness industry is constantly evolving,
creating opportunities for companies like Health Journey to provide unique and
innovative products and services to consumers.

Rational for rejecting the other products.

 The lack of scalability and differentiation in the Jobs4you company concept is the
justification for rejecting it. Even though there might be a need for odd tasks like
window cleaning and gardening, the market is probably very competitive, making
it challenging to set one's company apart from others that offer comparable
services. Additionally, there might be restrictions on the amount of money that
can be made by offering these services, which might restrict the potential for
expansion.
 Although the unsold Food business plan has good intentions, it might encounter
major logistical difficulties. To keep the food fresh and safe to consume,
collecting and distributing perishable food requires careful management. The
collection and distribution of food could also raise legal and regulatory problems.
Although there is unquestionably a need for food aid for those who are homeless,
there may be more effective and efficient ways to meet this need.
14

Health Journey - A mobile application that offers personalised record / advice to

individuals to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

a) Type of business and what are the business challenges.

Health Journey is a profit-driven company because it offers a service

designed to bring in money. Health Journey is a service-based business concept
and a smartphone application that provides individualized assistance and
recommendations for living a healthy lifestyle. It makes money by charging users
for access to its premium features and content. The business's ultimate objective
is to make money by offering a worthwhile service that customers are prepared
to pay for.
Challenges
 Data security and privacy: Since it is a health app, health Journey will be
gathering confidential user data. Gaining and keeping users' confidence
will depend on ensuring the privacy and security of this data.
 Regulatory compliance: Since Health Journey is a health-related app, it
must adhere to several regulatory organizations' rules and regulations to
guarantee the reliability, safety, and efficacy of its content and
recommendations. It can be difficult and time-consuming to ensure
compliance and keep up with these rules.
 Integration with other wellness tools: Many users may already be utilizing
other wellness tools, such as fitness trackers or meal logging
applications. To provide a seamless user experience and prevent effort
duplication, Health Journey will need to integrate with these products.
 Competition: Since many other smartphone applications and digital health
businesses provide comparable services, Health Journey will need to set
itself apart from rivals to draw and keep users.
 Technological advancements: To stay competitive and offer the best user
experience, Health Journey will need to keep up with the most recent
technological developments in the quickly evolving digital health sector.
15

b) How to conduct market research and issues relating to supply and demand

 Define the target audience: Determine the precise demographics, such as age,
gender, location, health issues, and lifestyle choices, that are most likely to use
the program.
 Analyse the competition: Research similar health and wellbeing apps on the
market, evaluate their advantages and disadvantages, and look for opportunities
for differentiation.
 Analyse market trends: Analyse customer behaviour and preferences as well as
market trends and technological advancements in health and wellness. This can
be achieved through Online forums and communities, social media listening.
 Crowdsourcing: Collect comments and suggestions from customers, medical
professionals, and industry workers in the health and wellness sector. This can
offer a wide variety of viewpoints and concepts that can guide the creation of
products and marketing plans.
 A/B testing: Compare various Health Journey iterations with small groups of
users to determine which functionalities and aesthetic choices best encourage
user interaction and retention.

Issues relating to supply & demand.

Unlike a physical commodity, Health Journey does not experience the same supply and
demand problems. However, there are still some supply and demand factors that could
have an impact on the app's performance.

 Oversupply of similar apps: There may be an abundance of similar apps

competing for users' attention in the fiercely competitive health and wellness
technology industry.
 Lack of qualified professionals: If the app's goal is to link users with health
professionals, there may not be enough of them to satisfy demand.
16

 User feedback: If users offer suggestions for the app, Health Journey will need to
weigh those suggestions against the resources available to create and execute
them. Maintaining user satisfaction and retention may depend on giving user
input top priority.

c) Competitors and competition

Established mobile apps like MyFitnessPal, Fitbit, and MyPlate by Livestrong compete
with Health Journey. By providing distinctive features and advantages that its rivals do
not, Health Journey can set itself apart from its rivals.

 Samsung Health: By giving users access to tools for tracking their exercise,
diet, and general health, this mobile application provides a comprehensive
approach to health and wellness.
 MyFitnessPal: This mobile application provides users with a personalized
strategy based on their objectives, eating patterns, and exercise routine. It
offers a personalized approach to fitness and nutrition.
 Noom: Through habit formation and behaviour modification, this mobile
application provides users with customized coaching and guidance to help
them achieve their health and wellness goals.
 Fitbit: This smartphone app provides a variety of tools for tracking your health
and fitness, such as exercise monitoring, heart rate monitoring, sleep
monitoring, and personalized insights.
 Apple Health: This mobile software provides a variety of features for tracking
your health and fitness, such as activity tracking, heart rate monitoring, and
sleep tracking, as well as integration with other health and fitness tools and
apps.

Your app would need to provide distinctive features or advantages, such as more
individualized guidance or monitoring, a more user-friendly interface, or integration with
17

other health and wellness services, to compete with these well-established players. To
market your app and create a devoted user base, you would also need to create a solid
marketing plan.

d) Impact of globalisation

The impact of globalization on the healthJourney mobile application could be both

positive and negative.

Positive Impacts

 Increased Accessibility: As a result of globalization, it is now easier to obtain

health information from anywhere in the world. The healthJourney mobile
application can reach a larger audience than ever before by providing
personalized health advice and record keeping on the go.
 Improved Efficiency: Globalization has resulted in a more interconnected world,
allowing for more efficient communication and collaboration across borders. This
can be used by the healthJourney app to connect people with healthcare
providers and resources that are best suited to their needs.
 Improved patient-doctor communication: Health-related apps have made it easier
for patients to communicate with their doctors. Patients can use these apps to
report symptoms, ask questions, and share their medical history, allowing
doctors to provide more personalized and effective care.
 Increased awareness of health issues: Health-related apps have helped to raise
awareness of health issues. These apps inform users about healthy lifestyles,
disease prevention, and treatment options, allowing them to take proactive steps
to maintain their health.
 Economic Growth: By generating job chances in the technology and healthcare
industries, the creation and use of mobile health applications like healthJourney
can promote economic growth. By offering users practical health guidance and
suggestions, the app can also help lower healthcare expenses.
18

Negative Impacts

 Data Security: Concerns about data protection and security have grown as a
result of globalization. The healthJourney program must guarantee the security of
user data and conform to global data protection laws.
 Reliance on technology: As the number of health-related apps rises, in-person
medical care and direct encounters with healthcare professionals may become
less important. This may lead to a loss of the personal touch in healthcare and
increase the risk of inaccurate diagnosis or misunderstanding of medical
information.
 Inequality in access: Not everyone may be able to use health-related apps,
particularly those who reside in less developed or rural areas where access to
technology and a stable internet link is constrained. Access to healthcare
knowledge and resources may become unequal as a result.

e) Use of technology for marketing and promotional activities

 Social media marketing: The app can advertise its features and advantages by
using social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to reach a larger
audience. Users can also share their insights and complimentary comments
about the program on social media, which can broaden its appeal.
 Influencer marketing: To spread the app and reach a larger audience on social
media, HealthJourney can work with health and wellness influencers. Influencers
can offer recommendations, testimonials, and reviews for the app, which can
help to establish credibility and confidence with prospective users.
 HealthJourney can use search engine optimization (SEO) methods to make its
website and material more appealing to Google and other search engines. By
doing this, the app may become more visible and draw in more users who are
looking for online health and wellness guidance.
 Utilize artificial intelligence (AI) technology to examine user data and provide
tailored suggestions. According to the user's dietary preferences and restrictions,
artificial intelligence can be used, for instance, to suggest healthy food choices.
19

 Virtual reality (VR): Construct virtual worlds that users can investigate and
interact with using VR technology. For instance, you could design a VR exercise
that submerges users in a digital gym.
 Virtual events: To interact with users and advertise the app, host virtual events
such as webinars, classes, and challenges. Host these meetings on websites like
Zoom, Google Meet, or Facebook Live, then post about them on social media.
