Activity Completion Report

The Modalities and the Utilization of English Self-Learning Package (ESLP)-

Elementary, in Preparation for the Opening of Classes.

Continuing education during uncertainty. More than 300 million students

worldwide are having their education disrupted by the spread of Coronavirus. Schools

and universities haven’t faced this level of disruption in generations. However, as

UNESCO reiterates “Education cannot wait. If learning stops, we will lose human

capital.”. DepEd echoes the belief that educational quality, access and system

strengthening cannot be compromised in times of crisis. As educators gear with the

“new normal” set-up in this coronavirus pandemic, this is the appropriate time to use the

discomfort to forge a new paradigm. The Davao City DepEd English

Language/Reading/Pagbasa team conducted a virtual training last August 10, 2021

which was attended by all the School and District Coordinators in the different

institutions. As an English coordinator I was tasked to re-echo the learning delivery and

discussed some information during the virtual forum under Tagluno Elementary School

teaching team.

In order to settle things up, Tagluno Elementary School, headed by our School head Mr.

Fortunato Radin, Jr. had its General Assembly attended by 7 Classroom Advisers and 1

Academic teacher. We started our Small Learning Action Cell ( SLAC ) with a prayer

lead by Mrs. Angelia followed by the singing of our National Anthem, and was followed

by a quorum opened by Mr. Radin,Jr. After the school quorum, my school head gave

me opportunity to re-echo the Various Distance Learning Delivery Modalities which was

the main coverage of the Webinar that I attended.


I was able to discuss the Various Distance Learning Delivery Modalities. We started

overlooking the general guidelines of the English program, extenuate some DepEd

programs and implementations, discussed about the Teacher & Learning Facilitator’s

Roles in every learning modality, and deeper discussion about Individual Learning

Monitoring Plan.

I thoroughly discussed the Matrix of requirements and the assessment needed for each

modality. I added the topic about how and when the ENGLISH SELF-LEARNING

PACKAGE be distributed and retrieved. After the discussion, questions were

entertained and answered all throughout mirroring what I have learned during the

webinar session. We also made our structured plan on how to distribute and retrieved

modules in an organized way anchoring about what I have discussed. I also presented

to them the sample class program, the individual monitoring Plan and showed a video

about DepEd Tele-Turuan. I also presented to them the sample class program and the

individual monitoring Plan. The meeting was then ended ensuring that all matters that

have been tackled and agreed was fully understand by the concerned subjects of this

meeting and was hoping for positive outcomes.
