1.0 Purpose: The purpose of this procedure for achieving control over the birds, rodents and pests.

2.0 Scope: This procedure shall be applicable at PM NETWORK Plot No. 150/93/B, Maruti Industrial Estate Behind Glow
Tech Steel, Gondal Road Rajkot 360004.

3.0 Responsibility: Administration Executive

4.0 Procedures:
4.1 Birds Control:
● Methodology:
4.1.1 The building shall be without any crevices and permanent opening. Trees or plants shall be far from the
walls of the building.
4.1.2 All the areas shall be closely fitted with shutters on Doors and Windows to deny access to birds.
4.1.3 All the dead rodents or insects shall not be kept in open areas of the premises.

4.2 Lizard and Insects Control:

● Methodology: The pest control operations shall be executed exactly in the manner detailed here under:
4.2.1 Application of Pesticides: Approved Pesticides (From Approving Authority) would be applied using
suitable spraying equipment and at appropriate pressure to all areas (immediate exteriors of the
building, drainage chambers, garbage disposal areas, kitchen, pantry and cafeteria) within the faculty
except the manufacturing areas.
4.2.2 Frequency of the Applications: The frequency of the operations shall be fixed twice a month and all
details of service shall be filled (as per format no. ZPI/SOP/HRD/003/F1).

4.3 Rodent Control:

4.3.1 Methodology: Rodent baits are placed in suitable bait stations secured to the ground using double sided
tape. These rodent baits shall be placed at various points in the premises.
4.3.2 Frequency of the Applications: The frequency of the operations shall be fixed monthly and all details of
service shall be filled (as per format no. ZPI/SOP/HRD/003/F1).

4.4 Termites Control:

4.4.1 Methodology: Approved pesticide will apply the chemical through drilling on the corners of the floor to
prevent the termites.
4.4.2 Frequency of Application: The frequency of operation shall be done once in a year.

4.5 Operations:
4.5.1 The HR Officer shall confirm the schedule and make the requisite arrangements to facilitate the
operations. The time for the operations will be fixed i.e., office hours.
4.5.2 No operations unless very emergent in nature shall be carried out after the stipulated hours or on
Sundays and Holidays.
4.5.3 On the day of the operations, the technician of the executing agency shall report at the appointed time
at the security gate and inform the designated HR Officer of their arrival.
4.5.4 The designated HR Officer shall then depute a representative to accompany the technician to supervise
and certify the operations.
4.5.5 The technician shall bring along with him a Service Report, which shall be signed, by the designated HR
Officer and the representative deputed by him.
