Product Package Exchange Publisher allows you to quickly select


key data from your SAP S/4HANA system based on a variety of
criteria and publish it direct to SAP Enterprise Product Development.
▪ You can publish data related to bill of materials, materials, change
numbers, and documents.
– You can also further define the scope of data to be published via
the bill of material, document, material, and change number.
– When published, all selected data is made available in
SAP Enterprise Product Development.
▪ Product Package Exchange Publisher also enables the user to
easily manage updated data between the SAP S/4HANA system
and SAP Enterprise Product Development.
▪ The Synchronizer allows approved changes to be updated from
SAP Enterprise Product Development to the SAP S/4HANA system.
▪ The Republish function allows the changes to be updated from the
SAP S/4HANA system to SAP Enterprise Product Development.

With the Product Package Exchange app, you can analyze and manage change
proposals submitted by internal and external stakeholders for each of the constituents
of a multi-level product data package, such as a bill of material.

When the app is launched, the Product Package Exchange page displays the bills of
material (BOMs) you’re involved in and allows you to view, search, sort, and filter them:
▪ You can work together on the submitted change proposals through collaborations
linked to the respective product packages.
▪ As a participant in the Product Package Exchange app, you can work with other
participants on multi-level bills of material (BOMs), materials, change master, and
their associated documents.
▪ Functions in bills of material (BOMs):
– Viewing BOMs, navigating and viewing multi-level BOM subassemblies
– Assigning BOM to a collaboration to share with extended enterprise
– Creating redlining on BOM items, viewing redline, comparing redlines,
approving redline
– Downloading product data package in various industry formats
