Warm greetings from Cebu Normal University!

As you know, we started implementing the new curriculum for Teacher Education
following the CHED Memos 74-80 s 2017. One of the new courses offered to
education students is a professional course on “Foundations of Special and Inclusive
Education. This course is designed to equip the pre-service teachers with
familiarization and exposure to the theories and teaching strategies for children with
special needs and inclusive education. It includes the study of learning
characteristics of students with special educational needs (gifted and talented
learners, learners with difficulty seeing, learners with difficulty hearing, learners with
difficulty communicating, learners with difficulty walking/moving, learners with
difficulty remembering and focusing, learners with difficulty with self-care) and those
in difficult circumstances.

In this connection, we would like to request your kind office to allow the following
CNU students

cater to children with special needs, on
