that each tourist can utilize multiple types of transport.

Overall, the data reveals a significant shift in the preferred mode of transportation
among tourists during this period. At the start of this period, cars accounted for the
highest percentage of transportation, with approximately 50%. By 1999, this figure
had hit to the highest point at 60%, then sharply decrease to over 50% in 2009.
Although ferry remain stable, it just accounts for a small proportion lower than
10% during the period.

On the one hand, coach and railway registered a noticeable increased. In 1989,
coach accounted for 10% of transportation which is very low, but by 2009, this
figure had risen to about 25%. Similarly, railway start at third place with 35% and
rapidly climb to the first place with nearly 60%. In contrast, people who travel by
airplane fell dramatically from roughly 40% to 20% in 2009.
In summary, over the 20 years period, the data highlights a significant decrease in
the use of air travel among tourists, besides, travel by car and ferry is still
unchanged. Finally, the proportion of people using coach and rail record an upward
trend.
