Dear Sir,

Reference to the enclosed letter of Village Panchayat, Devipura dist. Champawat received through
Authority’s letter mentioned above wherein representation has been made for demand of
Underpass near residence of Sh. Gopal Singh Mithadi on under construction NH-109D, following
site conditions were noted which are as mentioned below:
1. Both sides of the proposed highway near the said house (Ch 0+935 LHS) are well
connected through various passages proposed under the highway. For instance, a Light
Vehicular Underpass (LVUP) is under construction nearby just 265m north of the said
house. There is also a balancing culvert (size 3m X 3m) downside east at 370m.An
inspection road underneath the proposed Major Bridge was also there 600m down east.
2. The existing road where the demand for underpass is made, is an Katcha road with 2.5 m
width. Barely few pedestrians and two wheelers use this road in a day.

Hence, the demand of a new Underpass might not be feasible considering the physical site
conditions at the said location.
