“PARAMETRIC-DYNAMISM ARCHITECTURE: AN
ADAPTIVE
JEEPNEY TERMINAL DESIGN FOR URDANETA CITY,
PANGASINAN”
Jovita, Bryan Patrick
U.
Bachelor of Science in Architecture
University of the Cordilleras

This research project aims to revolutionize the urban transit experience in Urdaneta

City, Pangasinan, by introducing a novel architectural approach—parametric-dynamism. The

IX
central objective is to design and implement a Public Jeepney terminal that goes beyond

conventional static structures, embracing adaptability and flexibility. This forward-thinking

terminal seeks to address the challenges of the existing public transportation system, mainly

focusing on mitigating traffic congestion and alleviating the impact of heat on commuters. By

infusing parametric-dynamism principles into the terminal's architecture, the study aspires to

create a dynamic and responsive transportation hub that can evolve over time.

To achieve this overarching goal, the research outlines specific objectives.

Firstly, an in-depth analysis of commuter experiences within the current public

transportation system will be conducted to identify key challenges. Subsequently, the

study will explore the integration of parametric-dynamism architecture, ensuring that

the terminal responds dynamically to changing conditions, user interactions, and

external stimuli. The goal is to create an innovative and user-friendly environment

that addresses current commuting challenges and enhances the terminal's overall

functionality and aesthetics.

By incorporating parametric-dynamism, the envisioned Public Jeepney

terminal seeks to become an integral and dynamic component of Urdaneta City's

urban fabric, adapting to the community's evolving needs while optimizing efficiency

and user satisfaction.
