We use too at the end of a sentence with a comma (,) before it:
Yesterday I studied History and practised Maths, too.
We use also:
1) at the beginning of the sentence with a comma after it:
We went on holiday to the coast. Also, we visited some
friends there.
2) before the verb in Simple tenses (Present Simple, Past Simple,
etc.) and after the verb to be:
Yesterday morning, I played computer games with some
friends. We also went to the cinema in the afternoon.
Last Saturday we played volleyball and had a picnic in the
park. In the evening, we were really tired. We were also very happy.
3) between the two verbs in Continuous tenses (Present Continuous,
Past Continuous, etc.):
My sister is doing a course on photography. She is also
going to singing and drama classes.
4) after some special verbs: can, etc (Modal verbs):
I can speak English and I can also speak a little Italian.
