Introduction

• Paver block is construction material that is mainly used in

garden, sidewalks and streets, etc.
• Paver block paving is versatile, aesthetically attractive,
functional and cost effective and requires little or no
maintenance if correctly manufactured and laid.
• Only two reasons for variability in strength of block &
occasional failure due to excessive surface wear.
• Currently about 3.5 million tonnes of plastic waste generate
in India in a year.
• The plastic waste pollute the surrounding environment. As the
result it affects both human beings & animals in direct and
indirect ways.
• The replacement of plastic waste for paver block provides
potential environmental as well as economic benefits.

Need of this project
• The need of the biodegradable paver block is to utilize the plastic
waste in production of it.
• By making biodegradable paver block it is a productive way to
dispose the plastic waste.
• Biodegradable paver block cost is less compared to concrete
paver block.
• Biodegradable paver block showing better result, and it is less
brittle and more elastic.

Aim & Objective
Aim
• Aim of this project is replace the aggregate to made a
biodegradable paver block using plastic waste, which shown a
good and better option. It also shows the good heat resistance and
protect the environment from plastic waste pollution.

Objective
• Suggest new remedial as biodegradable plastic paver block in
construction industry.
• To reduce the costs with the use of waste materials as replacement
of aggregates.
• To make a detail report on the effects by plastic waste on the
environment.

Process & information regarding project

❖ What is biodegradable paver block

These are the paver blocks that are

manufactured by utilizing scrap waste recyclable plastics.
This blocks are made by a mixture of cement, sand and
melted plastic. Biodegradable paver block is a
construction material that is mainly used in streets,
garden, sidewalks and cycling path way.
