On a sunny day, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) candidates are having a

conversation...

SK Chairman candidate: Hello everyone! Since the Barangay election is fast

approaching, we are going to discuss our platform today. We need to be
prepared. Anyone who would like to give their suggestion?

SK Kagawad candidate 1: My suggestion is to create a tutorial program for

children. We all know that teachers have too many workloads, and they
cannot do tutorial session on their students. Also, most of our ka-barangays
cannot afford to pay for it. So, it would be better if we have that kind of
program so we can help students who have difficulty in their studies.

SK Kagawad candidate 2: It is a good idea, but who's going to teach them?

SK Kagawad candidate 1: We can ask for volunteers. We can coordinate to

the principal of our Barangay's high school and ask for the top students to
be one of our volunteers. Everyone is allowed to be our volunteer.
SK Chairman candidate: That is a great idea. We can add that to our
platform. Any other ideas?

SK Kagawad candidate 3: How about adding sport to our annual sport

activities?

SK Chairman candidate: What do you mean by that?

SK Kagawad candidate 3: We always do basketball and volleyball. How

about adding badminton as well?

SK Kagawad candidate 4: I agree with that. Either that or we can

include the games we have before. During our barangay fiesta, we can
add in our program the games like patintero, tumbang preso, etc.

SK Kagawad candidate 5: I was actually thinking of that. That will

help the kids today to reminisce on the old days.

SK Chaiman candidate: Wow! Every idea that you are providing is

truly amazing. Is there anything else?

SK Kagawad candidate 6: Since the cost of vegetables are

increasing, how about we encourage the youth to plant vegetables? We
can provide seeds to them.

SK Kagawad candidate 7: What if they do not have vacant lot to plan

them?

SK Kagawad candidate 2: They can use pots or big plastic bottles to

plant them.

SK Chairman candidate: Yeah, I agree with that. I am proud of each

one of you. I am glad that you joined my team. I am hoping for our
success.

SK Kagawad candidate 2: I am also grateful for accepting me in your

team. I just also hope that we all win so we can enforce our platforms.

SK Kagawad candidate 6: Let's hope for the best.
