- Update the KK Membership List

- Present the Sangguniang Kabataan ng Bolbok Members, including the SK
Secretary and Treasurer
- Identify some priority projects of the Sangguniang Kabataan for the KK
Members
- Brainstorm with the KK Members some possible projects in the community
- Help the youth in the barangay to become active citizens through a simple
talk about Active Citizenship
- Provide an avenue for the KK Members to have camaraderie and
socialization through simple activities

V. Rationale

Republic Act 10742 otherwise known as the SK Reform Act of 2015 states
that the Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) serves as the youth highest policy- making
body that decides on matters affecting them in the barangay. As such, the SK must
consult and secure the concurrence of the majority of the KK members in the
formulation and approval of all its policies, plans, programs and activities that
promote the welfare of the youth. In addition to this, the SK members must hold
regular assemblies at least once every six months.

The Sangguniang Kabataan ng Bolbok planned to hold its First Katipunan

ng Kabataan ng Bolbok General Assembly on the 19th day of August, 2018 from 8:00
am to 11:00 am at the gymnasium of Bolbok Elementary School. The primary
objective of this gathering is to build camaraderie among the members of the KK in
Bolbok. The said assembly includes the presentation of the members of the
Sangguniang Kabataan ng Bolbok including the Secretary and Treasurer,
Presentation of some proposed projects, Talk about Active Citizenship, and
Brainstorming of future projects for the youth. The general assembly is organized by
the SK and to be presided by the SK Chairman, Hon. Nelberth D. Magbanua.

The KK Members would have an avenue to meet and socialize with each other
and the SK would present their proposed projects for the youth and ask some
suggestions coming from the KK members, as well.
