GUIDELINES AND RUBRICS FOR THE MIDTERM ONLINE ORAL

EXAMINATION FOR ETHICS

Guidelines

1. Since the students/participants in this course are not Philosophy majors. They are
not expected to memorize the concepts/theories verbatim or on a per-word
basis. Familiarity with the concepts will do. You will be assessed based on how
familiar you are with all the ethical concepts and topics that we have discussed so
far.

2. Your ability to relate the ethical concepts in your day-to-day lives as a Filipino, as
a professional, and as future Physical therapists/engineers/educators will also be
assessed. Even though you are familiar with the ethical concepts, but if it will not
reflect in your own lives, it is futile and useless. You should learn how to live for
and apply those concepts in your life.

3. The online oral examination is only expected to last 5 minutes per student.
However, the professor has the full autonomy and discretion to adjust the time
frame depending on the needs, situation, or unforeseen circumstances.

4. All students who will take the oral examination are expected to have full
composure, be relaxed, confident, and prepared. No need to feel nervous or
panic, guys; consider your oral examination as merely a friendly chat with
me. This will also be a good preparation for your future job interviews once
you graduate.

5. The sequencing of who will take the oral examination will be in alphabetical order
based on the class listing. Those who are irregulars/late enrollees whose names
are not yet on the class list. You will be the last to take the oral test. This is for
order and proper sequencing. No need to log in all at the same time, rather one at
a time. You will only log in during your time slot. Anyway, I will be the one who will
accept you in the meeting room. Once I am done with one student, he/she is free
to go; then I will accept the next examinee. The exact process applies until we
finish all the examinees.

6. Good luck, good luck and good luck. May the ethical reasoning be with you all.

*Life is not just a matter of chance, but partially, a matter of choice
