‭TASK DESCRIPTION:‬

‭This task is in 2 parts. Students are creating a personal profile about themselves and food preferences.‬

‭Part A:‬‭Monologue (French script) 10%‬


‭This is a typed text where you introduce and talk about yourself.‬
‭-‬ T‭ he monologue is to begin with a French greeting, you introduce yourself to your teacher‬
‭and say how you are feeling.‬
‭-‬ ‭Then, state your food‬‭preferences, dietary requirements‬‭and compare and give your opinion‬
‭of two café items.‬
‭-‬ ‭You will also introduce an imaginary, or real friend, giving two details about the person.‬
‭-‬ ‭To end the monologue, you must also include two questions directed to the teacher who is‬
‭listening and a farewell greeting.‬
‭You‬‭should not use any translator‬‭at all, the script‬‭should be all your own work. Part A is‬
‭submitted as a‬‭Google Doc on Google Classroom‬‭.‬
‭ art B: Monologue Recording (audio or video) 10%‬ ‭no more than 60 seconds‬

‭You create a video or audio recording of yourself reading the entire monologue script (from Part‬
‭A). You may include props, costumes or your friend in the video, but this is not required.‬
‭Part B is submitted as an audio‬‭or video file‬‭(not‬‭a link)‬‭on Google Classroom‬‭.‬
‭Topics‬‭The task will be based on the‬‭‘Rencontrons’‬‭unit.Students will have one lesson of class time‬
‭only to work towards the task. Most of the task will be created at home.‬
S‭ ubmission details‬
‭Students must submit the task on due date/time regardless of whether you have Language that‬
‭day or not. Penalties apply for late submissions. (1 day = 5%, 2-5 days = 10%, 6+ days = zero‬
‭assessment mark and letter sent home).‬
