Introduction

The academic performance of students is a key feature in education .It is regarded as the
hub around which the entire educational system revolves. The academic performance of its
students determines any academic institution's success or failure. Students’ academic
performance has a direct impact on the socio-economic development of a country as pointed by
Rono,( 2013).. Similarly, learners' academic success serves as a foundation for acquiring
knowledge and developing abilities.
Science education needs to be effective and relevant so learners may become actively
engaged in their learning. To this end, there is a need to transform how students think so that
they can understand and use science like scientists do. According to Rana and Relingo (2016),
every learner is regarded as natural-born scientists because they are often curious and eager to
learn. As such, teachers and parents have to support them through guidance and the provision of
a more challenging learning environment.
Committed to this vision, the STE High Schools are envisioned to be the centers of

excellence in Science, Technology, and Engineering education in the Schools Division that shall

develop the full potential of students along this area. The eagerness of developing Science High

Schools to recruit more students to pursue science-related careers paved the way for the

Department of Education to also establish DepEd Regional Science High Schools to provide a

more intensive and advanced secondary education program with special emphasis on science

(DECS Order No. 69, s. 1993). Science-oriented high schools were also established and aimed to

cater to intellectually promising and science-inclined students who shall qualify and meet the

minimum standards set for special science classes adapting the curriculum of Science and

Technology High Schools.

Aim/s

The aim of this paper is to test the feasibility of malunngay leaves as ointment in treating
wounds.
Pwede kahit more than 1 yung aim.

Hypotheses

Null Hypothesis: Malunngay leaf is not effective as ointment in treating wounds.

Alternative Hypothesis: Malunngay leaf is effective as ointment in treating wounds.

Materials

10ml of NaCl
2.5ml of Iodine
Pakilagay dito yung lahat ng ginamit nyong apparatus/instrument.

Methods

1. 200g of grated potato and 200g of grated carrot were boiled in 1L water for 30 minutes.
2. The extract were collected from the mashed mixture using a sterile cloth filter.
3. 100ml of this extract was used to prepare 1L of media.
4. 12g/L of agar was used for solidification.

Paki iwasan yung lagging paglagay ng “the researcher bolied….” As much as possible precise
yung methods but not detailed by detailed na pati yung pagkuha ng knife eh nandito sa methods.
Results

discussion ang analyzation and interpretation.

Discussion

This is the part where the researcher interprets and analyze the gathered data in the result.
Researchers discuss the table/graphs in the result.

Conclusion

Summarizing the important points of your investigation and the findings. You should also
answer/mention your research aim here in the conclusion section and mention which hypothesis
was accepted.

Recommendations

What you would improve if you’re going to repeat the investigation/ experiment. Suggestions to
the next researcher doing similar research to yours.
