Memoirs

● The best part of this project was getting to do the hands-on stuff. Getting to dye, cut,
wash, blow dry, and style is what made my project a lot of fun. The worst thing was
having to watch my mentor do everything when I really wanted to step in and help
because of how fun it looked.

● 1. How to properly dye hair

2. How to use toner
3. How to do a proper consultation

● The biggest stretch was getting people to let me do their hair. Although they were my
friends or family I was still nervous to ask them in case they didn't trust me with their
hair. But I got over it and just asked them and they all said yes. In the end it all worked
out and they all trusted me and ended up loving their hair.

● Doing my project in the cosmetology field showed me that there is a lot of standing,
talking, and planning. It made my confidence in myself grow so much because I honestly
thought I was gonna burn a girl's hair off but I never did and they all loved their hair so
much.

● Possibly, I plan on becoming either a preschool or kindergarten teacher and that won't
change. Because I loved this so much I’m considering getting my cosmetology license
during summer and then opening a salon up for summertime when I'm not teaching.

● I would have done more hair. I had so much fun with this project I wish it never ended.

● My advice is to do something that you will enjoy. Don't just do something because it
seems easy, do it because you’ll want to have fun with it.

● I would give myself an A. I put a lot of time and effort into this project and I feel that I
did everything right. I have a lot of evidence and hours for this project.
