Team-building Activities Environmental Education

2 examples of activities to develop Language learning through the experiential learning
approach:

 Foreign Language Day: Plan an outdoor day that focuses on language learning
Activities such as nature walks, bird watching or gardening can be used as a basis for
language learning Participants were able to describe plants and animals, discuss their
observations and describe their findings using specific language. This hands-on
approach to language learning is real making the learning process more authentic and
enjoyable.
 Photography and language: Combining language learning with the art of photography.
Give participants a camera or smartphone and have them act out scenes that illustrate
the vocabulary or concepts you are teaching. For example, when they are learning
adjectives, they can draw pictures that remind them of those adjectives. They can then
show pictures and participate in discussions, explaining their choices using the word
they remember.
