Confidentiality The act of protecting the identity of the subject /respondents of the study
Data analysis Interpreting information derived /gathered
Design The outline and technique chosen by the researcher to accomplish the research work
Hypothesis The probable outcome of the study.
Instrument The tool used to collect information.
Likert Scale A rating tool for measuring information from the respondents
Limitations The restrictions or weaknesses of the study
Literature review A written work which provides overview about a topic or concept
Method The procedures used to go about data collection.
Operational definition Refers to the definition of terms base on how the researcher used then in the study
Plagiarism Using or owning the previous works without acknowledging the source
Population Group of people /object/characteristics
Questionnaire Set of questions used to gather information
Replicability Repetition of the entire research work with the aim to obtain the same result
Research Process of systematic inquiry
Respondent Those who participate in the survey
Setting The place where the study takes place
Sources The references used by researcher to gather information
Survey The process of collecting data through answering questions
Theory Used to explain concepts or phenomena
Variables The traits /characteristic which may or may not change all throughout the research.

Socio –demographic Includes age, marital and social status, religion, address, and other pertinent information
profile about the respondent
Sample A portion from the entire population
Tables , charts ,diagrams Non-linear presentation of data obtained
Discussion Interprets the finding of the study through description
