Introduction

Music Education is an incredibly important asset for schools to possess. Almost

more important however is the resources and equipment given to the music
department to make it run smoothly. In this slideshow, these photos demonstrate
some of the pitfalls of modern music education and how it could be vastly
improved. The facilities in lower income areas are often not kept up for students
and teachers aren't given the proper materials to teach with. These are just some
examples of places where more funding and resources could make a world of a
difference.
Many music teachers and directors have to
diy their own supplies as shown here with

In a high school setting, directors often
work extremely long hours with no overtime
pay, leading to them being forced to do
basic hygiene tasks at work such as eating
or brushing their teeth. This sink is used for
doing the dishes brought to work. Taken
