Let us learn how to compare the length in meters or

centimeters.

Meter (m) is used to measure the length of objects. The stick teacher.

There are 100 centimeters in 1 meter. Centimeter (cm) is

used to measure length of small objects

3. DISCUSSION

Read the situation below.

Leo walked 600 centimeters while Allan did walked 9

meters.

Solution: First need to convert to the same unit.

600 centimeters is equal to how many meters?

And 9 meters is equal to several centimeters

Note: 1 meter = 100 centimeters

2 meters = 200 centimeters

Therefore, 6 meters is equal to 600 centimeters and 9

which meter is equal to 900 centimeters.

Therefore, 900 centimeters is longer if compared to 600

centimeters. Also 9 meters is more long compared to 6
meters. 300 longer centimeters or 3 meters when
comparing the distance that Allan walked and Leo.

Do you understand class?

How many centimeters did leo walked?

What is the equivalent of 600 cm in meters?

Very good!

How about allan?

If you will buy cloth for the curtain, what unit of measure
will you use? Meters, teacher.
A. Liter B. meter C. kilogram 800 centimeters, teacher.

5. APPLICATION

in each number. Underline the one with larger quantity:
the longer. Do this in your notebook. B teacher, meter.
