Recycling is the
process of breaking
down and re-using
materials that would
otherwise be thrown
away as trash …
Recycling is the process of converting waste
materials into reusable new materials or objects

• Prevent waste of potentially useful materials

• Reduce the consumption of raw materials
• Reduce energy usage
• Reduce pollution

By recycling materials, we contribute to the reduction of

carbon dioxide emissions.

emissions

air pollution will slowly decrease, and the air could get
cleaner. Otherwise, the waste will emit unpleasant smells
and bacteria into the air, affecting the surrounding areas.
A single tree could get rid of 250 pounds of carbon
dioxide from the atmosphere on an annual basis

Many industries use recycling practices, and if this is

ramped up, then more recycling plants will appear.
New jobs

this will lead to an increased number of new jobs.

Statistics indicate that recycling offers 10 times more
job opportunities compared to landfill waste

If we recycle, we could save up a lot more energy than
we expect it. Many companies which use recycled
Save energy

aluminum can save up to 95% energy while they

produce other aluminum products. On the other hand,
the companies which do not use recycled materials
waste a lot more energy during the production
processes.
Recyclable materials include many kinds
of glass, paper, cardboard, metal, plastic,
tires, textiles, and electronics …
Reduce:
If there is less waste, then there is less to recycle or reuse.
start is by trying to reduce what we use.
Making careful decisions about what we buy can have a big
impact on the environment.
Why reduce waste?
Food production, products manufacturing, transportation
and storage contribute to greenhouse gas emissions and
costs that are passed on to us all.
Making careful decisions about what we buy and trying to
reduce waste can have a big impact.
The cost of what we put in the bin every week is a good
reason to reduce waste. Throwing out less reduces the
amount of energy needed to transport and process waste and
means less landfill too.
Reusing: is to use an object as it is without
treatment. This reduces pollution and waste, thus
making it a more sustainable process.
Old jars and pots: Old jars and pots can be used to
store items in kitchen. They can also be used to store
loose items together such as computer wires.
Tyres: Old tyres can either be sent to recycling
station or can be used to make tyre-swing
Used wood: Used wood can be used as
firewood or can be used woodcrafts.
Waste paper: Waste paper can be used
to make notes and sketches and can
be send to recycling center when you
don’t need them anymore.
Recycling:
Recycling is turning an item into raw materials which can
be used.
To recycle something means that it will be transformed
again into a raw material that can be shaped into a new
item .
Recycling is the process of converting waste materials
into new materials and objects. This can save material
and help lower greenhouse gas emissions.
Recycling can prevent the waste of potentially useful
materials and reduce the consumption of new raw
materials, thereby reducing energy usage, air pollution
and water pollution .
