Information For Teacher-in-Charges (Mode 2 – Fully Online Mode)

1. This document is for teacher-in-charges responsible for fully online competition (Mode 2) only.
(If you are teacher-in-charges responsible for paper-based competition (Mode 1), then this document is not applicable
to you and your students.)
2. Teachers must read this document before the competition.
3. Teachers must also read the “Information for Students (Mode 2)”.

Before Competition
1. This is an online competition. You need to create a communication platform for all participants at your
school. You can use any suitable platform such as WhatsApp group, Telegram group and/or Google
Classroom.
2. A few days before the competition, competition link will be sent to you on WhatsApp/Telegram.
3. No username/password is required to start the competition. Students just need to fill in their personal
information before starting competition. Therefore, the competition links can only be shared with
registered participants and teacher-in-charge.
4. Teacher must understand the competition procedure so that you can guide your students on the
competition day. If you and/or your students have any questions about the competition procedure, please
ask us (the organiser) before the competition.
5. Teacher must make sure that students are clear about the competition procedure. Teachers can organise a
briefing for students if necessary.
6. One day before the competition, a set of question papers will be sent to teachers on WhatsApp/Telegram.
Please refer to “Alternative Competition Method” for more information.

On The Competition Day


1. Sharing the competition links. You need to share the competition link to your students through the
group chat (or other platform) used at your school. Students of different school year categories will use
different links for competition. Make sure your students use the correct link.
2. Guiding Your Students. You need to be online when students need your guidance. You should be able
to reply the messages from your students during the competition. You can only guide students about the
competition procedure. You cannot solve mathematics questions for students.
3. Supervise your Students. During the competition, teachers will enforce the regulations of the
championship, especially making sure that the participants follow all the championship rules throughout
the competition. Different schools may use different methods to supervise their students.
4. Students can start the competition when they are ready. Students at the same school are ALLOWED to
start the competition at different time within the competition period.
5. The online answer sheet will be closed and stop accepting submission when the competition period ends.
If your student needs more time, please let us know by WhatsApp/Telegram or phone call.

Alternative Competition Method
1. The alternative competition method is ONLY FOR student who cannot complete the competition by
using the Online Competition Procedure.
2. A set of the question paper (pdf file) will be sent to the teacher-in-charge one day before the competition
on WhatsApp/Telegram. Teacher should not send the question paper to the student group chat. It can
only be used on the competition day for alternative competition method.
3. The procedures for the alternative competition method are as the following.
• Student who cannot complete the competition by using online competition procedure will contact the
teacher. Teacher will try to understand the situation of the student. Teacher will allow (and guide) the
student to use alternative competition method if it is needed.
• Teacher will send the pdf question paper to student by using private chat.
• Student will start the competition. Student will write down their answers manually on a piece of
paper, following the format provided by organiser. After that, student will scan (or take photo) and
submit the answer to teacher. Student should submit the answer in 1 hour 45 minutes after receiving
the question paper from teacher.
• Teacher will submit the manual answer sheet to organiser by WhatsApp and email.

Troubleshooting
1. Student can take attendance on Google Form but cannot download question paper. Student can
access and use the online answer sheet.
Teacher will send the pdf question paper to student.
Student should submit his/her answer by using Online Answer Sheet.
2. Student cannot take attendance on Google Form.
Student should use Alternative Competition Method.
3. Student can take attendance and download question paper but cannot use Online Answer Sheet.
Student should submit answer manually through teacher.

After The Competition


1. Please send a WhatsApp message to 013-8013613 when all your students already submit their online
answer sheet.
2. If some of your students cannot complete the competition on the official competition day, please let us
know by WhatsApp at the end of the competition.

After Competition Day


We will contact you again if there are any updates after the competition day.
