Sub: Submission of demarcation report of

Tughlakabad Forte

Sir

Its desired by you, I have the honour to state that,

on the last 7th Sept 1995, I along with the
company of Shri M.K. Batra, Senior Surveyor and
Shri D.K. Bhardwaj Surveyor Gr-I, attended the
demarcation work at Tughlakabad Fort. Shri K.N.
Dhawan, Caretaker Qutub was also present at the
site.

The Revenue officials Shri Rati Ram Kanoongo, and

Shri Sanohar Singh, Patwari carried out the
demarcation work.

Due to heavily constructed areas around the site it

created a lot of destructions and for the excat
points could not be located by the Revenue
Officials. However, the nearest possible points of
Abadi Deh area were ascertained by them and the
demarcation works were carried out.

The said area has been heavily secession upon

beyond the limites of the Abadi Deh area and
around the entire site in full swing.

During the course of demarcation it has been

observed that the stone carrying opt was going on
near the fort wall. It has states by the local people
that the operation is being done by some site.

It was also observed that a boundary wall of school

building was being extend by demolishing the fort
wall belongs to the Archaeological Survey of India.

Under the circumstances above mentioned, state

that at the spot becomes very essential for taking
the decesion regarding fencing over the entire site.

The demarcation report from the Revenue Official

site shall be submitted after receipt the same from
the Tehsil Office.

Drive for possession acquisition of land under the
fort khasra situated at Village Tughlakabad Tehsil
Mehrauli District Delhi

In your reference letter no. SDM/SD/95/2295

dated 15.11.1995 sent by Shri Rakesh Nagpal

SDM(S) regarding land acquisition under Fort

Tughlakabad, order to take action for acquisition of

land of Khasra situated in village Tughlakabad

Tehsil Mehrauli District Delhi, we made a program

to start the action and there all of us have reached

on spot inside the Tughlakabad fort. Shri Jawahar

Singh Patwari also reached there along with the

record and relevant documents on the spot for

demarcation of the areas. Shri M.N. Sharma NT

and Shri Mahesh Chand Kanoongo Tehsil Mehrauli

and Shri A.C. Chakrawarti Surveyor from

Archological Survey Department, Shri M.K. Batra

Senior Surveyor, Shro N.C. Tharlipal CA Grade I,

Shri A.K. Kaul CA Grade II, Shri S.K. Dikshit

Surveyor Grate I, Shri D.K. Bhardwaj and others

DDA staff Shri Ramesh Yadavo Kanoongo, Shri

Ramvir Singh Patwari and from the Department of

Lan Development Shri P.S. Vats Tehsildar, Shri S.

Singh NT and Shri Umashankar Upadhyaya Patwari

are present at their site on spot.

measuring instrument handed over on spot

physically to Shri A.C. Chakravarti Survey Officer

Department of Survey of Archaeological Survey of

India. Whereas have seen by demarcation on

above possession some of the land by khasra no.

647, 648, 649, 652, 653, 654, 655, 673, 674, 679,

687, and 692 was constructed either pacca or

kachcha construction but during course of action

when drive the operation no hindrance or

obstruction came in light. The acquisition drive was

peacefully ended. Hence this report.
