Overview
The Oxygen Demand Aggregation System is a
comprehensive solution to aggregate the estimated
demand of oxygen from health facilities such as hospitals,
nursing homes, etc. of the country.

The system allows the authorities at district, state and

national level to make meaningful decisions based on the
aggregated data

It is connected to the Oxygen Digital Tracking System and

the geo-coordinates of the health facility are used to
optimize faster delivery of oxygen.

Registration and Login

Open the website oxygen.nha.gov.in

If your health facility is previously

registered and exists in another
program/database listed below

❖ Health Facility Registry (under

National Digital Health Mission)

❖ Covid19 India Portal of the MoHFW,

Government of India

❖ Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri

Jan Arogya Yojana

Dashboard
The dashboard provides an overview of the different sections of the website

Health Facility Profile

This section enables a health facility to update their name, facility ownership, type, address,
geo-location, and contact details. This enables accurate information to be provided to
authorities for planning optimized delivery of oxygen.

Health Facility Infrastructure

This section allows updating of the infrastructure count (General O2 beds, ICU beds, HDU
beds, Ventilators and Oxygen Concentrators) of a health facility by the facility manager.

Oxygen Demand Estimation

This section enables the facility manager to enter the occupied count based on beds and
ventilators occupied. Based on this information, the oxygen demand is estimated after
multiplying with the average oxygen consumption in liters per minute (lpm) for different
infrastructure.

Oxygen Delivery, Generation and Consumption

This section records the inflow and outflow of oxygen in a health facility – oxygen generated,
delivered, and consumed

Oxygen Demand, Supply and Consumption Summary

This section provides a complete summary of the oxygen demand, supply, and consumption in
a health facility for previous 3 days, today, upcoming 2 days as recorded.

Health Facility Infrastructure
The section consists of 2 parts
❖ Facility Infrastructure
❖ Oxygen Infrastructure
Update Facility Infrastructure
Please update the count accurately
based on existing infrastructure in the
facility
❖ General O2 Beds
❖ Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Beds
❖ High Dependency Unit (HDU)
Beds
❖ Ventilators
❖ Oxygen Concentrators

The infrastructure count can be

updated by State/UT officials

Update Oxygen Infrastructure

Please update the information based
on type of oxygen infrastructure
available
❖ Oxygen Plant (enter generation
capacity in litres per minute and
any storage capacity in kilolitres if
applicable)
❖ Update availability of cylinder
refilling option for the plant
❖ Update availability of Medical Gas
Pipeline System (MGPS)

❖ Liquid Medical Oxygen tank (enter

storage capacity in MT)

❖ Oxygen Cylinders (select type of

cylinder with volume in cubic
meters, availability and count of
filled cylinders in the facility
➢ A- Type 0.7 M3
➢ B- Type 1.5 M3
➢ C- Type 2 M3
➢ C- Type 3.5 M3
➢ C- Type 4.5 M3
➢ D- Type 6 M3
➢ D- Type 7 M3 7

7
Oxygen Demand Estimation
In the Oxygen Demand Estimation section, please update the “Occupied Count” before 12.00
noon to submit the estimated demand for next day.

In case the demand is submitted after 12.00 noon, it will be considered as demand submitted
for the day after tomorrow.

For example:
❖ Demand is considered for 18 June if submitted before 12 noon on 17 June
❖ Demand is considered for 19 June if submitted after 12 noon on 17 June

8
Oxygen Demand Estimation
The estimated oxygen demand is calculated based on several parameters
The bed occupancy is multiplied by the average consumption per bed in liters per minute
(lpm), which is further converted to metric tonne

The average oxygen consumption in liters per minute (lpm) for different infrastructure is as
below:
❖ 7.4 lpm - General O2 beds
❖ 10 lpm - ICU beds
❖ 10 lpm - HDU beds
❖ 48 lpm – Ventilators
The average oxygen consumption in lpm can be modified by State / UT officials

Please note: While entering the ICU beds count, enter total number of ICU beds in use (both
with and without ventilators), and in ventilator field enter the ventilators in use. The system will
auto-calculate the usage in the background.

For example, If 10 ICU beds and 2 ventilators in use, the system will calculate 10-2 i.e.. 8 ICU
beds * 10 lpm and 2 Ventilators * 48 lpm

Please select if the estimated demand is

❖ Accurate
❖ Overestimated
❖ Underestimated

❖ If the demand is Overestimated / Underestimated, please enter the value (in MT) by which
the estimated demand should be reduced/increased. Please enter the reason in remarks
section

9
Oxygen Delivery, Generation and Consumption
This section records the inflow and outflow of oxygen in a health facility (Generated, Delivered
and Consumed Oxygen details)

Please update the following details:

❖ Oxygen generated (if oxygen plant is present) and consumed

❖ Liquid medical oxygen delivered and consumed

❖ Count of filled cylinders (by type) delivered and used

Once the information is filled, click on “Submit Details” for processing of the information

All calculations are processed in the system and the resulting details are displayed in MT
(metric tonne) 10

10
Oxygen Demand, Supply and Consumption Summary
This section can be accessed from the dashboard, and provides a complete summary of the
oxygen demand, supply and consumption in a health facility for :

❖ Previous 3 days

❖ Today

❖ Upcoming 2 days

The reports can be downloaded by the facility nodal contact person / facility manager
