Outcome Reflection 3: Dealing with Inquiry within a Bibliography

1. How has this assignment helped you engage in your chosen outcome? Did you write
about one of the goals in the outcomes, or did you apply the skills talked about in each
one?
- The assignment that I am choosing to reflect on for this reflection is the annotated
bibliography draft, specifically, I will be reflecting on the Generating Inquiry
outcome. For the Annotated Bibliography, I had to explore my Research Question
and the rhetoric behind it, as I had to find sources that would hopefully help to
answer my Research Question effectively. This goes with the Generating Inquiry
outcome on exploring inquiry, as I had to explore my research question, or my
inquiry, and did so my finding sources that would help support my research
question.

2. What is something, whether it be a concept or a personal realization, that you learned

while engaging in this assignment? Or, if you didn't learn anything, what did you find
useful about this exercise?

- One thing that I learned from this assignment is the importance of having a correct
citation, and how even though citations can be hard to complete sometimes, they
are very useful and needed in certain situations with outside quotes, evidence, or
information. I also realized how important the annotations of citations can be, and
how much they can add, as they can show exactly why you used a certain source,
and what the source entails.

3. How does this assignment or activity connect with other course outcomes or build
towards upcoming major assignments?

- This assignment can prepare me for the research project major assignment by
combining all my sources and putting them in one place. It also prepares me for
the final draft of the annotated bibliography and research question major
assignment.
