Course Aims:

- To enrich students' vocabulary with high-frequency useful words, fixed


phrases, and collocations in contemporary use.
- To encourage students to develop speaking skills and fluency through
interviews, mini talks, problem-solving and storytelling activities.
- To improve students' auditory abilities and pronunciation by exposing them to
such engaging listening materials as real life conversations, stories, interviews,
songs, etc.
- To develop students' writing skills focusing on writing paragraphs, e-mails,
letters, short narratives, articles as well as structuring, drafting, redrafting,
punctuation and spelling.
- To improve students' reading skills with a wide range of motivating, authentic
reading materials like factual/scientific texts, stories, quizzes, etc.

Personal Aims:

Learning Outcomes:

The students will be able to:


- Communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct
exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
